FREE DELIVERY & BED ASSEMBLY SERVICE

At Bedtime Bed Centre, we believe buying a new bed should be exciting, not stressful. That's why we offer free bed delivery on all orders of £350 or more within a 25-mile radius of our stores in King's Lynn and Wisbech. Our friendly, experienced delivery team will:

• Deliver your bed or mattress directly to the room of your choice
• Carry it upstairs as part of our free mattress delivery service — no extra charge
• Unpackage your new bed or mattress and remove all packaging
• Assemble all divan beds free of charge as part of our bed assembly service
• Complete full mattress installation so it's ready to sleep on straight away

If you've purchased a bed frame or furniture, we're happy to assemble these too. As these take a little longer, there may be a small assembly charge — just ask in store for details.

WHAT HAPPENS ON DELIVERY DAY

1	Your delivery day is agreed at the time of purchase When we arrange your delivery, you'll be given a date with either a morning or afternoon slot. If you have any specific requirements — such as needing a phone call before we set off, or a time restriction on the day — please let us know at this point so we can make a note and do our best to accommodate you.
2	We arrive and assess access Our team will check the route to your room — staircase, landings, doorways — before bringing anything inside.
3	We collect your old bed or mattress As part of our old mattress collection and bed removal service, we'll take away your old item on a like-for-like basis before bringing in the new one.
4	We deliver and install your new bed We carry your new mattress or bed to the room of your choice, complete full mattress installation, and assemble your divan if applicable.
5	We remove all packaging We take every bit of packaging away with us, leaving your room clean and tidy.
6	You enjoy your first night's sleep That's it — your new bed is ready. No heavy lifting, no stress, no mess.

OUR HONEST ADVICE — DON'T STRUGGLE ALONE

Please don't try to move a heavy mattress yourself. A mattress can weigh over 50kg — and that's before you factor in navigating a staircase, tight landings, or low ceilings. They're awkward, unwieldy, and genuinely difficult to carry safely without the right experience and equipment. Every year people injure themselves attempting it.

Our experienced bed delivery team do this every single day. They know exactly how to manoeuvre a king size or super king mattress through a tight turn without damaging your walls, your mattress, or themselves. Let them do it — it's a completely free service when you spend £350 or more.

GETTING YOUR BED UPSTAIRS

We're happy to carry your new bed or mattress upstairs as part of our mattress delivery service — but there are a few important things to be aware of before you order.

We will not bend or flex a mattress. Doing so can permanently damage the internal structure, void the warranty, and compromise the comfort and support it was designed to provide.

Height clearance matters more than you might think. King size and super king mattresses require significant height clearance on staircases and landings. A tight turn or low ceiling can make delivery impossible.

Don't assume it'll fit because it did before. Modern mattresses are considerably deeper than older ones — today's mattresses are often 25–35cm deep or more, which makes a real difference in tight spaces.

Not sure if it'll fit?

We offer a free site visit — one of our team will come and assess your staircase and access before you commit to a purchase. We'd always rather check first than disappoint you on delivery day. If a standard mattress genuinely won't work for your space, roll-up mattresses are available in larger sizes and can navigate tighter staircases much more easily.

Failed delivery charges

If our team arrives and cannot get your mattress to the required room due to access restrictions, a redelivery charge will apply. We strongly recommend taking advantage of our free site visit before ordering a larger size.

FREE OLD MATTRESS COLLECTION & BED REMOVAL SERVICE

Taking away your old bed or mattress is something we've been doing for over 30 years — and it's always been part of how we do things. No fuss, no hidden charges, no awkward conversations. We simply take it away, keeping the whole experience as easy and hassle-free as possible.

Unlike the larger chains who often charge extra for old bed removal — or don't offer it at all — when you spend £350 or more with us, we do this completely FREE. It's just one of the ways a local, independent bed centre looks after its customers better.

Our old mattress collection and bed removal service works on a like-for-like basis:

• Buy a single mattress — we'll take away one single mattress
• Buy a double divan bed — we'll take away a double divan bed
• Old bed frames must be dismantled before collection

Unfortunately, we cannot dispose of furniture, sofa beds, futons, mid sleepers, bunk beds, electrical items, or any other household waste.

To protect our delivery team, we reserve the right to refuse collection of any item that is heavily soiled, wet, or infested. Please don't leave your old mattress outside before we arrive — exposure to the elements can make items unsafe to handle.

Do you offer a bed assembly service?

Yes. Our bed assembly service is included free of charge for all divan beds. For bed frames and furniture, a small assembly charge may apply — ask in store for details.

Will you take my old mattress away?

Can you get a mattress up narrow stairs?
